Copywriter and UX writer at Adapt Agency

During my 3 years at Adapt Agency, I did just about every type of copy imaginable, both for Adapt, and their clients. I helped them create a brand new Tone of Voice, and implement this across their site and social media platforms. I wrote scripts for the videos they produced, did a whole bunch of UX writing before I even knew that term existed. And I worked both as a content creator and consultant for Adapt's clients. All in all, I kinda got around.

Tone of Voice for Adapt Agency

It all began with a need for a corporate rebranding. They needed a new Tone of Voice - one that could move forward with them, and grow as they grew. I created a style and tone that had a spark of life – something human – in it. And like life, it had the flexibility to convey everything Adapt wanted to say, without breaking the persona. After that, I wrote and rewrote their entire website to make sure every word was in accordance with the Tone of Voice.

Creating a streamlined case format for both web and award(winning)

Case work is, like most other copywriting, about not saying more than you have to. In creating the case format for Adapt, I had to balance sales, tech, design, and humanity to ensure what was being said about the projects was actually worth reading. In the end, awards were won, so I guess it hit the spot.

Content creation; blogs and whatnot

Content creation for a tech agency is about knowing whats going on in the tech world - which is rapidly and constantly evolving. The main part of my job was to ensure that what we published was jargon-free, adhering to the Tone of Voice, and seemed like it might've come from a human being.

Creating a Bot for Christmas and other creative things

The chatbot, or Carol, as she was so cleverly named, was one of the more creative projects I got my hands on. Her mission was to talk to the people that 'met' her, and my job was to make sure she had a personality. Along with Carol, my charge was to ensure that everything we put out there had a clear identity that could easily be traced back to Adapt.
